GloPoWriMo: Day 14

It’s the fourteenth day of GloPoWriMo and today’s prompt was to write entries for an imaginary dream dictionary. Pick one (or more) of the following words, and write about what it means to dream of these things:

Teacup
Hammer
Seagull
Ballet slipper
Shark
Wobbly table
Dentist
Rowboat

I have written a poem containing a few of these.  I hope you enjoy it.

To Dream of

To dream of a teacup
Means you need to drink less coffee
And more tea
Alternatively, you forgot
To do the washing up

To dream of a hammer
Means you are stressed and angry
About something important
Alternatively, you forgot
To hang the new picture on the wall

To dream of a shark
Means you are worried and anxious
Sense of foreboding
Alternatively, you forgot
To feed the fish

To dream of a wobbly table
Means you are unsure about the future
A little uncertain
Alternatively, you forgot
Your passport is on the kitchen floor

To dream of the dentist
Means you are feeling nervous
About speaking in public
Alternatively, you forgot
To brush and floss before bed

To dream of a seagull
Means you are dreaming of holidays
By the beach
Alternatively, you forgot
You live by the sea
