GloPoWriMo: Day 19

It’s the nineteenth day of GloPoWriMo and today’s prompt was to write a paragraph that briefly recounts a story, describes the scene outside your window, or even gives directions from your house to the grocery store. Now try erasing words from this paragraph to create a poem or, alternatively, use the words of your paragraph to build a new poem.

I wrote a brief retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, followed by an even briefer poem.  I hope you enjoy it.

Red

Sick grandma
Wooded shortcut
Bad wolf
Run away
Run fast
To the house
Ring the bell

Gone

Disguise on
In bed
Bell again
Come in
Come closer
Big eyes
Better to see
Big ears
Better to hear
Big teeth
Better to

Gone
