GloPoWriMo 2021: Day 28

April 28, 2021 Donna M Day No comments exist

Today is the twenty-eighth day of GloPoWriMo. It’s now just over two weeks until my short play, Ghost Light, will be performed by Liverpool Network Theatre Group as part of Short but Sweet: Zoom Edition. I hope you can come along and support my first outing “in” a theatre for well over a year.

Poetry wise, today’s prompt was to write a poem that poses a series of questions. At Network’s weekly drama workshops we often play a game where two people have a conversation in a series of questions and I have used that game as inspiration for this poem, which I freewrote off the top of my head. It’s not my favourite poem ever, but it was a fun wind down as we approach the end of April.

A question of taste

Do you like cheese?
Is it dairy free?
Are you vegan?
Is that where you avoid animal products?
Why don’t you Google it?
Can I borrow your phone?
Do you have a charger?
Is your battery dead?
Can you tell by looking at the screen?
How full is the battery picture?
What does it mean if it’s red?
What shade of red?
Have you ever seen a Babybel?
Is that a kind of cheese?
Do you like cheese?
