GloPoWriMo 2021: Day 7

April 7, 2021 Donna M Day No comments exist

Today is the seventh day of GloPoWriMo. Last night I reviewed the second Talking Gods: Orpheus from Arrows & Traps Theatre for North West End UK. It was a great show and I really enjoyed it.

And of course, today were the auditions for Liverpool Network Theatre Group’s Short but Sweet: Zoom Edition which features my play, Ghost Light. It was really exciting seeing my script being brought to life by so many talented people and I’m really looking forward to seeing the final cast perform the show on 14 May.

Poetry wise, today’s prompt was to write a shadorma.

I often struggle with poetry with counted syllables, but quite enjoyed this short form and the poem I produced. I hope you like it.

Inanimate

Because I am
but a simple clock
inanimate
people think
I do not see them staring
when my face is sad.
